Creating an Active Wales action plan

Creating an Active Wales, the physical activity action plan was launched on 13 January 2010.  The plan sets out the steps the Welsh Assembly Government will take, with partners, to achieve an active, healthy and inclusive Wales.

Play Wales was part of an external stakeholders group which helped develop the plan and now sits on the Ministerial Advisory Group, chaired by Alun Ffred Jones, the Heritage Minister.

The plan highlights the importance of play and includes access to opportunities for high quality play that is physically active as one of  its priorities.
